Possible "Wonder Woman" Plot Details?

New details have come out that may provide more information on the plot of the standalone "Wonder Woman" film. Previous reports noted that the story will likely move between time periods, anywhere from mythological ages, to World War I, to the modern day.

A new report from the website Heroic Hollywood, which has been hit and miss on its scoops, offers insight to who may be opposing Wonder Woman and why. Their sources say Ares, god of war, is after a blade that will make him the most powerful god in existences. This blade, or sword, is in the possession of the Amazons. Deriving his power from evil, violent psychic energy, Ares will attempt to start World War III feeding of the war to gain enough power to take the sword. Having previously defeated Ares in World War I, Diana will work with Steve Trevor to stop the god's latest attempts. The rumors also suggest that the sword will go missing at the end of the film with Wonder Woman's search for the mythical object picking up in "Batman v. Superman."

As with any rumors about plot/casting, this is all subject to change or be proven false. However, with what has been previously reported, this scoop from Heroic Hollywood seems to fall in line.
