Official "Wonder Woman" Image and Cast Info Released

To mark the star of filming, an official image of actress Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman was released. The image offers a different version of the hero than those released in relation to "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice."

It may be that the tower visible in the background lends credence to the rumor that part of the movie will take place during World War I, perhaps in England.

In addition, a number of actors were announced as part of the film although their roles were not released. Most notably, Nicole Kidman was not on the list despite rumors she was in negotiations. Perhaps that role, suggested to be for the Queen of the Amazons, will be played by Robin Wright. Other actors on the list include David Thewlis, Elena Anaya, Danny Huston, and Lucy Davis.

"Wonder Woman" will be released June 23, 2017.
