Report Hints at "Aquaman" Villain and Mera Casting

According to sources at Joblo.com, the primary antagonist in the solo "Aquaman" film will not be the well-known Black Manta. Instead, the website reports that Jason Momoa's Aquaman will go up against Orm Marius.

Orm Marius, also known as Ocean Master, has been portrayed as Aquaman's half-brother in the comics. Rumors from JoBlo indicated that the movie will feature the two facing-off in a battle for the throne of Atlantis.

In addition, the website's sources also suggest that Aquaman's wife, Mera, will not be portrayed in her typical appearance. Just as Jason Momoa's version of Aquaman does not match the traditional blonde hair, blue eyed, and clean shaven, the film version of Mera is unlikely to be a caucasion, red-headed character.
